  the public that it will be requesting that OMB extend the existing ICR without change
  while it addresses public comments, and will follow up with the normal 30-day notice
  to complete the PRA renewal process for the ICR's proposed changes. The request
  to extend the existing ICR is necessary to ensure continuity while ATF considers
  the public comments, so that federal firearms licensees continue to have a valid
  form on which to record firearms transactions in accordance with applicable regulations.
